My excuse for this posting is that the last post reminded me of this painting which was done just as much to paint the mountains as a portrait of Claudia. She liked walking so it was appropriate. I used photos that I took while on the Routeburn track in New Zealand as a reference for the landscape. I think I exaggerated the length of Claudia's hair a bit, not that you would know the difference. I like long hair. Fortunately my wife has lovely, long, curly, dark hair and shows no sign of getting it cut short.
